200-Hour Barkan Hot Yoga Teacher Training Lights Up Studio 108 in Stratham

A Transformational Journey in Hot Yoga Education

This fall, Studio 108 Yoga and Pilates in Stratham, NH became the hub for a powerful 200-hour hot yoga teacher training program. Rooted in the Barkan Method of Hot Vinyasa Yoga, the course guided attendees through a structured blend of daily hot yoga practice, in-depth posture workshops, teaching methodology, yoga history and philosophy, and hands-on adjustments.

Students from Exeter, Portsmouth, Greenland, and Rye immersed themselves in long practice sessions, classroom-style training, and group discussions. Beyond learning sequencing and cueing, they gained a deeper appreciation for the benefits of hot yoga, including strength, flexibility, focus, and resilience. The atmosphere in the heated studio was a mix of dedication, sweat, and laughter—building community among new teachers-in-training.

Building Confidence, Community, and Certification

The Barkan Method emphasizes both tradition and innovation, blending the foundations of hot yoga with vinyasa flow elements. By the end of the 200-hour program, participants not only earned their hot yoga training certification but also developed the confidence to lead classes, inspire students, and share the healing practice of yoga in their own communities.

This program highlights Studio 108’s dedication to offering more than just hot yoga and Pilates Reformer classes—it’s a place to grow as a teacher, deepen your personal practice, and join a supportive network of yogis across the Seacoast. Graduates left the program ready to bring their knowledge into studios, private practice settings, and future yoga training teacher courses.
