Studio 108 Instructor Apprenticeship Program (Pilates)

Thinking about becoming a Mat and/or Reformer Pilates instructor? Or perhaps you’re already certified and craving deeper support, real-world teaching experience, and mentorship to help you step fully into your teaching voice. The Studio 108 Instructor Apprenticeship Program is a four-month immersive experience designed to bridge the gap between certification and confident, inspired instruction. In an intimate, supportive learning environment, apprentices refine their technical skills, explore their unique teaching style, and gain hands-on experience guided by seasoned Studio 108 instructors. This program is designed to help you become a confident, knowledgeable, and intuitive instructor—one who teaches with clarity, purpose, and authenticity.
This apprenticeship is a meaningful step toward becoming a fully prepared Studio 108 instructor. Our goal is not to mold you into a single teaching style, but to help you grow into your most authentic, capable self as an educator. We value individuality, curiosity, and connection, and we’ve cultivated a supportive community of instructors and learners who are deeply committed to helping students feel strong, empowered, and at home in their bodies.

Throughout the four-month apprenticeship, apprentices can expect:

  • Small-group teaching labs where you receive thoughtful, constructive feedback from both mentors and peers
  • Pilates labs led by Studio 108 instructors, giving you exposure to contemporary and traditional sequencing
  • One-on-one mentorship with experienced teachers invested in your growth
  • Hands-on teaching opportunities with real students, guided support, and feedback
  • Professional development including class planning, studio culture, and the confidence to lead with clarity
  • Flexible schedule: This program is designed to be completed alongside work or school, with most training held evenings and weekends

Who Can Apply?

  • Minimum six months of consistent Mat or Reformer Pilates practice
  • Recommendation from a Studio 108 instructor

Certification Requirements

To teach at Studio 108, instructors must hold Balanced Body certificates in:

  • Anatomy
  • Movement Principles
  • Pilates Mat 1
  • Reformer 1
  • One additional Pilates modality

These certifications can be completed during the apprenticeship, so you don’t need them before applying.
