DESCRIPTION:

2026 Spring Session | Studio 108 at Evergreen Farm

Join us this spring as we gather in community to explore the quiet, radical practice of paying attention. In this newest iteration of our Yinquery Women’s Circle, we move beyond the surface of daily life to witness the many ways love, in all its messy, transformative, and subtle forms, shows up for us.

Building on our original Yinquery framework of mindful inquiry and shared reflection, this season centers on Anne Lamott’s collection of essays, Somehow: Thoughts on Love. Together, we will investigate Lamott’s insights on how love guides us in every step we take through this life.

Our exploration is anchored in the powerful sentiment of Lamott’s final passage, quoting W filliam Blake: “We are here to learn to endure the beams of love.”

How do we soften enough to let those beams in? How do we cultivate the awareness required to stay present for the love that surrounds us? Through reading, movement, and dialogue, we will seek the answers together.

What to Expect

  • Guided Inquiry: Deep dives into the themes of Somehow, facilitated through the lens of mindfulness and writing.
  • Restorative Practice: Yin Yoga for somatic integration to help the body embrace the experience of connection.
  • Sacred Space: A confidential, supportive circle of women dedicated to authentic presence.

All are welcome, no prior yoga or mindfulness experience necessary.

Your Guides

We are honored to have this season led by two practitioners who embody the intersection of heart and practice:

  • Beth Man: A writer, teacher, and mindfulness practitioner who will facilitate our discussions and reflections.
  • Sarah Gnerre: An experienced yoga instructor who will guide our physical bodies into a state of receptive openness.

All participants will receive a copy of Anne Lamott’s Somehow at the first session. Snacks, light refreshments, and tea will be provided.

Bring a pen/pencil and notebook/journal, wear comfortable clothes for our Yin practices.
