A Community United for Change
Under a soft October sky at Saltonstall Farm, more than 50 attendees gathered for “Let’s Talk About Cancer”—an evening designed to open hearts, spark conversations, and raise critical funds for local breast cancer patients. Hosted by Katherine McDonnell, the event featured Dr. Eva Lizer of the Breast Center of New England and guest speaker Jacqui Bryan, whose presentation, “Cancer: Lowering Risk, Raising Awareness,” offered both practical insights and heartfelt encouragement. Attendees enjoyed healthy bites, tea, kombucha, and sparkling beverages in a warm, alcohol-free setting—fostering connection and support.
The air carried not just conversation but music, as local favorite Mike Morris set a reflective yet uplifting tone. Guests listened, shared stories, and stood together in solidarity, turning awareness into action.
Impact Beyond the Evening
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and partners, the event raised over $2,500 in charitable donations for My Breast Cancer Support, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping patients meet non-medical financial needs like housing, transportation, and groceries. These contributions directly support individuals and families navigating one of life’s hardest journeys—ensuring no one walks it alone.
The partnership between Studio 108 and My Breast Cancer Support highlighted the power of community-driven impact. It was more than an event; it was a reminder that hope grows when we gather, listen, and lift each other up.
The need for support continues.
